Best Coffee in Mérida

Six years ago it was difficult to find a decent specialist coffeeshop in Mérida. Almost all the coffee vendors were old school serving principally espressos and Americanos in a smokey atmosphere. That has all change radically in the past half a dozen years.

Today Mérida has possibly the best slection of independent coffeeshops in southern México. In part propelled by tourism both national and foreign there seems to be almost unlimited demand for good coffee. New coffeeshops spring up regularly and most appear to do quite well.
