A bit off the beaten path located in Colonia Santiago. It’s location makes it even better as it’s not overrun with tourists. The entrance is reminiscent of the speakeasies in the US a century ago – the entrance is sheet metal door and you have to knock to get in. It’s definitely worth it. Inside the ambience is unique and inviting and the staff are friendly and helpful. The coffee is the objective however and it does not disappoint – in fact it’s among the best you could get in Mérida. All in all Galerón is a fantastic coffee shop (club) and it hits all the right buttons of delicious coffee, great service and a lovely ambience.
