Another addition to Mérida’s growing list of coffee shops is Sempere Temezon Norte. Opened five months ago by the owners of the Sempere in downtown Mérida this one retains all the great qualities that made the original a favourite among coffee and book lovers. The coffee of course is among the best available anywhere, the service is excellent and the chill bookstore style atmosphere is a welcome change from some of the noisier coffee shops. In addition to the delicious coffee, pastries and snacks there is a small bookstore as well as second hand books that can be read or purchased. All in all a great addition to Mérida’s best coffee shops.

This location is located in the north of the city near the Periferico. It is quite easy to reach by several different public transport routes. One of the routes to take is the IE Tram which runs from Parque La Plancha to Sodzil near the Periferico. From there it is only a 5 minute walk. Generally it’s about 30-35 minutes journey but well worth the time to experience this amazing place.
